Supermodel Heidi Klum gave a shout out on her AOL page to her love of sparkling water and recommended a SodaStream soda maker to make sparkling water and cocktails at home.
It’s not the first time a well known celebrity has shown their affection towards SodaStream. Back in March 2009, when Musician John Mayer had around 500K followers on twitter (he subsequently closed down his twitter account) he happily tweeted:
SodaStream released its first magalog, a mixture between a magazine and catalogue, perfectly timed before the start of the 2011 holiday season. The 24-page premium magalog features top models including, international star Bar Refaeli, and evolves around the new campaign entitled “A Sparkling Life”.
The magalog was photographed underwater, and post-production included next-generation digital enhancement visual creator tools to integrate the various images and bubbles. To see the making of the magalog, watch the Behind the Scenes SodaStream Magalog video.
The magalog showcases SodaStream as a lifestyle brand that is environmentally friendly and promotes wellness and well-being. It also features the range of SodaStream products including soda makers, syrup flavors, carbonating bottles and accessories.
SodaStream received an inspiring photograph from the St. Angela’s School for the Deaf and Blind in Kakamega, Kenya following the installation of 3 water drinking wells in the school through the cooperation with The Water Project.
The photo shows the students of the school standing around their new water well holding up a sign saying, “SodaStream thank you for clean water”. The project ran from March 2011, when SodaStream committed to donate $1 for each Water Project participating home soda maker that was sold in the worldwide markets. It was a privilege for SodaStream to participate in this project. As an environmentally aware company, SodaStream strives to contribute positively to our planet.
SodaStream will begin using the Bio Bottle™, a Biodegradable Technology for SodaStream Flavor Packaging, which enables the bottle to decompose much faster than conventional plastic. We can now reduce the environmental impact of our syrup containers.
The Bio Bottle is a technology being applied to a limited edition range in 2012 of SodaStream flavors. SodaStream has partnered with Bio-Tec Environmental, LLC to use its EcoPure biodegradable technology for the Bio Bottle.
“Over 340 billion bottles and cans are not recycled every year. Most of them are thrown away, with the majority ending up in landfill,” stated Daniel Birnbaum, CEO of SodaStream.”SodaStream’s reusable carbonation bottle is the heart of our environmental benefit. And now with the Bio Bottle, even our flavor packaging is eco-friendly, as we can now reduce the environmental impact of our syrup containers. We are proud to lead in the development of the first widely-distributed soda packaging that decomposes at a significantly faster rate than conventional plastic.”
This brings us one step closer to a zero-footprint packaging solution, and helps achieve our goal of a world free from bottles and cans.
