Mixology is the art of cocktail making. It is finding new flavors and aromas, mixing together different kinds of liquids, herbs, fruit etc… A mixologist is considered to be a liquid chef, always inventing new cocktails and mixing new flavors that have never been thought of.
Most people think that you can make cocktails only if you have a fully equipped bar and a shiny shaker. All you really need is experience, learning from every attempt, from every combination of two or more ingredients. You also benefit and learn from every sip you and your guests take from your creation, the comments, remarks and the requests for another drink!
Following attempts by Coca-Cola to shut down its environmental Cage exhibit, we created a virtual “Cage Challenge” on Facebook, where visitors around the world can fill the cage with pictures of used bottles and cans. Over 6,000 in the first few days and growing fast. [Update over 90,000 Likes on the page) – Visit http://www.facebook.com/TheCageChallenge
We plan to erect a car-sized cage of plastic bottles at Centennial Olympic Parkoutside the Coke headquarters in Atlanta on Friday and Saturday, 22-23 June. The cage will be filled with thousands of used soft-drink plastic bottles and cans. The cage is an environmental exhibit that demonstrates the dangers of packaged soda to the environment and how one SodaStream bottle replaces thousands of bottles that would otherwise be trashed. The exhibit has been successfully used by SodaStream markets worldwide over the last few years.
Recently, We received a letter from Coca Cola demanding that their plastic bottle garbage be removed from the SodaStream Cage exhibition on display at the Johannesburg airport in South Africa (see picture below). “No one’s going to shut us up with a lawyer’s letter,” SodaStream Chief Executive Officer Daniel Birnbaum said. “If they (Coke) claim to have rights to their garbage, then they should truly own their garbage, and clean it up. Instead of getting a thank you for cleaning up, we’re getting a lawyer’s letter. We find it incredulous that Coke is now re-claiming ownership of the billions of bottles and cans that litter the planet with their trademarks. In that case, they should be sued in the World Court for all of the damage their garbage is causing.”
SodaStream partnered with renowned designer Yves Béhar to re-examine every element of the SodaStream soda maker. The outcome is the stunning new SodaStream Source Soda Maker. The new soda maker includes an elegantly redesigned carbonating bottle that easily locks into place with a single-push motion. Powered by a CO2 canister, the refined mechanics of SodaStream Source make the entire top surface responsive to touch, and the strength of carbonation is visible through an LED display, providing instant, visual feedback to the user.
Earlier in March, we launched our first electric-carbonating technology soda maker, called the Revolution.
A sleek design with amazing new features. The new Revolution soda maker includes a choice of four touch-button actions which provides the consumer a choice of carbonating levels (from low, medium, high and turbo).
The soda maker also includes the new “Snap-n-Lock” mechanism that allows for easy insertion of a SodaStream carbonating bottle, while an LED display indicates the carbonating process and the CO2 usage status.
The new Revolution soda maker offers a better user experience, empowering consumers to make their own soda faster, more efficiently and conveniently.
